Gameday Chat: The Jordan Love Era begins
Also: Kenny Pickett has an opportunity to put the NFL on notice vs. San Francisco.
Our first Gameday Chat of the 2022 NFL Season is… LIVE.
Man, I love these. Join fellow readers from all over the world all day long right here:
Where to begin? We’ve got a ton to discuss…
Jordan Love takes over as the starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers against — who else? — the Chicago Bears. He has waited three years for this moment. It’s time.
We all fall victim to Week 1 overreactions. Yet, I do think we’re going to learn a lot about Kenny Pickett against the San Francisco 49ers in the 1 o’clock slot.
Last season, Brandon Staley and the Los Angeles Chargers gave defenses a blueprint to follow vs. Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins. Did Mike McDaniel discover a counterpunch over the offseason. The two teams face off again.
Laugh all you want. Tampa Bay sincerely believes it has a formula to win in 2023. Can Dave Canales work his Geno Smith magic with Baker Mayfield? A win in a hostile Minneapolis atmosphere would be quite a step.
The Cowboys have the talented roster. The Giants have the stronger front office and coaching staff. For all of the flowers we’ve given to Joe Schoen’s crew this offseason, this Sunday Night Football matchup is the type of game the Giants need to win for us to view them as contenders.
New-look Lamar Jackson.
Same old Browns? A win against Cincinnati would force us all to rethink this team.
Could this be Bill Belichick’s last ride in New England? First up: Jalen Hurts.
Inside the chat, feel free to discuss anything you’d like.
Thanks, everyone.
