Week in Review: We're on to Atlanta
Jordan Love excels. Drew Bledsoe opens up old wounds. Wyatt Teller dissects the Cleveland Browns' "big, ugly machine" of an offense. And Bob McGinn is back. All links inside.
ATLANTA — Greetings from Georgia where we should have quite an entertaining professional football game on our hands tomorrow. This a matchup we had circled early at Go Long.
The Jordan Love Era is underway in Green Bay and the early signs against a hapless Bears crew sure were promising.
The Falcons — under head coach Arthur Smith and GM Terry Fontenot — have become total football rebels. A tight end fourth overall? A running back eighth overall? A guard worth $102.5 million? Desmond Ridder? Yes, yes, yes and yes. There’s a good chance NFL defenses are not prepared for this freight train, either.
Each Saturday, I’ll pass along our stories and podcasts from the week in one convenient spot if you’d like to catch up. Also, keep an eye out for our Gameday Chat, accessible in both your web browser and the Substack app. We’ll start that up Sunday morning and I’ll supply sights and sounds from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Thanks, all.
