The Green Bay Packers have handed the keys to the franchise over to quarterback Jordan Love. A major reason why? All of the work Love has done with his longtime personal quarterbacks coach Steve Calhoun every offseason.
The two share a special bond, too, with Calhoun serving as Love’s mentor back to eighth grade.
Now, this week — Wednesday at noon — you can hang out with Calhoun. The man behind “Armed & Dangerous” is our next Happy Hour guest. Subscribers can click the link at the end of this post to join and ask anything you’d like.
You’ve heard from Calhoun many times here at Go Long, including here, here and a previous Happy Hour spot. Now that we’ve all seen four games of Love, the timing is perfect to bring him back on. There’s been a lot of good, with Love steering a comeback from 17 points down to beat New Orleans. There’s been a dash of bad, too. The Packers lost an ugly one to Detroit last Thursday.
Calhoun will fill us in on exactly how far Jordan Love has come and — most importantly — how far he still can go.
He’s been confident every step of the way that Love can be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
Calhoun has worked with several other QBs, including Cam Newton and Russell Wilson, and even Los Angeles Chargers star receiver Keenan Allen.
New to our Happy Hours? Welcome! These are always a great opportunity for us all to get to know each other through a free-flowing conversation with people around the NFL. You can kick back and listen on the Zoom or chime in whenever you’d like. Considering we’ve got a noon kickoff for this “Happy Hour,” coffee is more than acceptable.
Hope to see you Wednesday.
