Everybody’s singing Kumbaya. You’d think all parties involved were gearing up for a family reunion. (Bring a dish to pass, Gutey!)
Hey, that’s how public messaging works. Aaron Rodgers is as media savvy as it gets in the NFL. You’re kidding yourself if you think revenge isn’t on the quarterback’s mind tonight in Pittsburgh. If anyone learned anything the last five years, it’s to judge this quarterback on his actions. Not his words. The End was ugly. He’s an all-time grudge-holder. One of the deadliest weapons in Rodgers’ arsenal is an ability to use slights, whether they’re real or perceived.
That’s been the case back to his JUCO days.
Rodgers didn’t get to call the shots on his Packers exit… exactly like the quarterback before it him.
It pissed off Brett Favre.
Of course it pisses off Rodgers.
For all talk about Rodgers into this primetime game, however, it’s a monster moment for the man who replaced him in Green Bay: Jordan Love. He’s the subject of one piece this week at Go Long. Love is due for a signature game as the new face of the organization. It’s Year 6 with the team, Year 3 as the starter. GM Brian Gutekunst obviously made the right move. Now, it’s time for Love to join the league’s elites.
He can make a major statement against his old mentor.

Horrible article. Media never learns. Even this modest affair of one.
