This defeat will leave a mark. The 2023- ‘24 Green Bay Packers exceeded expectations.

The first year of Jordan Love was a success.

He looks the franchise guy.

And yet? Nothing is ever guaranteed in the NFL. All Love needs to do is ask the quarterback who preceded him. It’s hard to generate the sort of momentum this young team had into the NFC divisional round. The Packers fell to the No. 1-seeded 49ers, 24-21, in unbelievably frustrating fashion. If one of a dozen plays goes the other way? They likely win. From a dropped interception to a missed kick, we dissect it all here with Hall-of-Fame scribe Bob McGinn.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions roll right along after knocking off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. What’s the state of this team into a date with the 49ers? I’ll be driving to Detroit this week to learn more.
