This Monday: Head out to the season finale of "The Isaiah McKenzie Show"
The Buffalo Bills have experienced a lifetime of adversity this 2022 season. Episode 8 marks our season finale with the team's "face of the franchise." Details inside.
Good morning, readers!
And good gracious. What a week.
By now you’ve all heard the news: Damar Hamlin is waking up. The Buffalo Bills safety is in the midst of a remarkable comeback. That’s exactly the word used by his doctors: “Remarkable.” Down on the field at Cincinnati, assistant trainer Denny Kellington saved Hamlin’s life with CPR and he has received incredible care since.
All along, the emotions of Bills teammates and coaches were directly tied to Hamlin’s health. If he was inching closer toward being himself, the team would inch closer toward being able to think about football. Let alone play it. Through a pair of emotional press conferences at One Bills Drive Thursday evening, the team made it clear that the words of Damar’s father, Mario, went a long way.
Quarterback Josh Allen said Mario essentially “demanded” the Bills play on because that’s what Damar would want.
And then the good news continued to pour in. As one doctor noted, not only are the lights on. Hamlin is home. Neurologically, he’s in a great place.
The Bills will now host the New England Patriots at Highmark Stadium in what promises to be an epic atmosphere.
We’ve also touched base with Isaiah McKenzie and McKenzie insists the show must go on at Go Long.
On Monday night, we’ll host the season finale of “The Isaiah McKenzie Show.” Join us at Mister’s Bar & Lanes in East Aurora, NY at 6 p.m. (EST). You can also replay all episodes here at GoLongTD.com, Apple, YouTube and Spotify.
This has been an unprecedented season of highs and lows for the Bills with McKenzie giving everyone a rare inside look every step of the way. The gender-reveal touchdown. The scary concussion. The snowstorms. His role. Nothing is ever off limits and McKenzie wants to give everyone a player’s perspective on what happened this week.
