Good morning, readers! Here’s hoping all members of the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks loaded up on Pedialyte and Advil ahead of all parade festivities. Win it all and you deserve to throw back a beer (or 12).
What a season it was in the NFL.
It’s only fitting that the last team standing is one nobody saw coming.
My red-eye flight touched down Tuesday AM. Taking a few days to recharge the batteries but, rest assured, we’re back at it this coming week. New here? If anything, the “offseason” (Bennett Brauer air quotes) is our favorite time of year at Go Long. We’ll spend many hours working sources to see what’s cookin’ behind the scenes.
Fully expect more columns, profiles, features and podcasts. Of course, Bob McGinn also brings his unparalleled draft series once again to our pages. (Last I checked, Bob was immersed in Senior Bowl practice film.)
Next week, I’ll examine what lessons the rest of the NFL can glean from Seattle’s unlikely title run.

Hey Tyler. Since this is the "calling all mailbag questions" section I'll ask this: When will you be posting a long form article about the Packers decision making process regarding the contract extensions of the GM and HC? I look forward to it.
The explosion of accuracy and distance among kickers has really taken off. Overall, is this actually good for the game? Wouldn't a much lower make-rate from all distances cause more interesting decisionmaking?
