Thank you for another and better view into MVS’s life. I’m glad that football doesn’t consume him. I’m sorry for him having to have to deal with the boneheaded fans who don’t understand that words matter. No matter what he says, it can be hurtful if not worse.

I'm very late to reading this (just subscribed this week though). I live in GB, grew up a block from the stadium in GB, was one of those kids that showed up at training camp with my bike in the Lindy Infante years. I GET how big of a deal that the Packers are to people. Having said that, I will never understand how so few people grasp how unhealthy their relationship with sports is. The crap that MVS, Freeman, and so many others have had to deal with from some fans is disturbing to me. I'm thankful for guys like MVS that are willing to share just how sick some of these "fans" are.

He was my breakout pick prior to the season. I feel he lived up to that, but was obfuscated so much by the drops. He had a huge season and no one is talking about it. Thank you for giving him his due.

Great article. I am happy to see others seeing the same potential in MVS as other great receivers in Packers history - and I love that you wove their direct perspectives into this narrative. This year is set to be a big one for MVS and the Packers franchise over all. There are a lot of variables and winning in the NFL is very hard ... but it feels like a “now or never” year for the Packers.
