What's brewing at Go Long the next month...
Draft series. A close look at the Bills’ Window. Player profiles. Here’s a sneak peek.
Happy Draft Season, readers.
A pleasure — as always — to have you as part of our Go Long community.
It’s been a tick quieter here the last couple weeks, but for good reason. Just wanted to drop a quick note on what you can expect at Go Long over the coming days and weeks.
New in town? This is a perfect time to upgrade.

The Buffalo Bills’ Super Bowl Window. So… how open is it? Is Brandon Beane taking the right steps? Without giving too much away, expect a lengthy two-parter with perspectives from NFL GMs, a head coach, a scout and players from one team that should give Buffalo hope in 2024. This has been a sneaky-strong offseason for a team banging away at that window since selecting Josh Allen in 2018.
Herm Edwards, unplugged. Always love having a reason to phone Herm. We delved into a wide range of topics, including LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels. Herm Edwards coached the potential No. 2 overall pick at Arizona State and has a dead-on comparison you won’t want to miss.
Jim Monos’ deep dive on the 2024 QB class. My podcast co-host worked as an area scout for the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints, as well as the director of personnel for the Buffalo Bills. Monos ties his expertise and stories from his NFL days to this year’s class. Monos was highly skeptical of that 2021 group of quarterbacks. Not this crop, as you’ll see.
Draft Features. I’ve been chatting at length with a handful of prospects who have compelling stories to share. They were excellent and unbelievably open.
Pre-draft extravaganza. Let’s hang out at a Fattey Beer location in WNY to talk draft. Details to come.
Bob McGinn’s 40th annual draft series. The Hall of Fame sports writer will once again bring the grand daddy of all NFL Draft coverage — his series — to our pages. As I type this sentence, McGinn is likely chatting with a scout somewhere about this year’s prospects. The nine-part series captures how the NFL truly views players, beyond TV fluff. Miss his initial Top 55? Here’s the offense, the quarterbacks and the defense.
Last year’s series is linked below.
Thank you, everyone.
Really looking forward to it Tyler!
