Bob McGinn shares how the NFL views the Green Bay Packers' two first-round picks. As one AFC scout says on Wyatt, “He’s the closest in the draft to Jeffery Simmons.”
These scouting reports get personal. These guys could find red flags with Saint Francis of Assisi. “Can’t were the green dot”. New insult for my friends.
Bob's "Green Dot" article should be up for some sort of award. It's a classic. It connected with me and a lot of the other readers. The Packers got 2 of the top front 7 players in the draft. Preston Smith, Kenny ClaRK, Wyatt and Gary coming at you at 3rd and long....oh my.
And I THINK that leaves plenty of room for Wyatt to be a penetrating DT-3; often Clark and Wyatt? I'm trying to parse what the scouts were suggesting about him.
The scout’s takes are all over the place. Are they watching the film? I agree with Northman in that these reports feel personal at times. I’ll take the Packer’s assessments on these players.
Thanks for reading everyone. Going to do a podcast with Bob this week where he will explain more in-depth the value of hearing from these scouts.

Lol. Well, time was slower then too.
I believe they called it the Holy Trinity Trot back then.

This shit needs to stop. Fuck these guys that can't pull your weight in your own job.
I wonder if I could wear the "Green Dot"
How much is GB really in a 3-4, where he may be sub-optimal; and how often do they operate with two DLs where he presumably would be a better fit?
Packers are essentially a 4-2-5 team at this point

This time you win!
