If this was YouTube would link about 18:05...listening the first time, did a double-take to hear what Tyler said quietly 😂
Every year about this weekend and through the Super Bowl, Bob's Super Bowl book comes off the book shelf and has a spot prominently on the coffee table in our house. Will randomly pick a game here and there to read about and/or relive. It's so good.
Question: Dorsey certainly has player evaluation skills. But he can't hold on to a GM role. When the Packers needed a GM, Dorsey was available and had a long history with the team, but he wasn't even considered. He has been several other places and although he has drafted well, he hasn't lasted. Is it a case of "doesn't play well with others?" Surely seems like a personality thing. I remember him as a so-so linebacker with the Packers in their non-glory years.
Great memory RE Mike McCoy! He was a fantastic athlete! Very very nice person.
He used to play basketball at the YMCA in the off season with my father. We saw Mike out a few times in public for random things in GB and he was very genuine, nice, and made sure he came over to say hi to my father.
One time I watched the noon game at the Y when I didnt have school - late elementary school. Mike was not taller but physically dominated. He played hard but fit in. He could have stood out and tried to do everything but he didnt. Several other good players - but Mike's athletic ability jumped out at how quick he was for how large he was. While Cliff Crystal and Randy Slye would play and very good players and athletes, Mike was a step ahead.
The stat about Pro Bowl Chiefs from the 18-24 drafts is jaw-dropping.

Fantastic observations from Bob. His rant on Kelce was bang-on

Good stuff on John Dorsey’s quiet role in building the Chiefs into what they’ve become. Thanks to both you guys.
Sounds like the Eagles should be able to Pound the Chefs left side.
Dorsey did good job but gambled on character with Tyreek and Kelce.
I loved Bob's Travis Kelce take. It was epic!
