The man working the phones to move up in the 2017 NFL Draft for Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn’t Andy Reid or Brett Veach.
Rather, John Dorsey.
From 2013- ‘17, Dorsey didn’t only serve as the general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs — he built for the foundation for everything we still see today in 2025. Here on the “Ty & Bob Pod” at Go Long with co-host Bob McGinn, we examine the roots of the Chiefs’ epic run. The former Packers exec drafted stars we’ll see in Canton one day.
History has been kind to Dorsey, who’s now a senior personnel exec for the Detroit Lions.
Also, you will not want to miss McGinn’s commentary when it comes to the, uh, “blocking” exploits of Travis Kelce in the AFC title game. (With all due apologies to any “Swifties,” of course.)
Here’s your first look at Chiefs-Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Much more to come.
Audio is above and video is below.
Thanks, all.
