During Buffalo Bills games at new Highmark Stadium, you can see and hear him.
George Wilson is the man on the mic as the team’s new in-game host.
He also works on the team’s pregame and postgame shows.
And before all this, Wilson endeared himself to Western New York as one of the most beloved players through the drought era. Wilson converted from wide receiver to safety (thanks, Dick Jauron) and totaled 14 interceptions through his pro career. Not bad for a player who wasn’t even drafted out of Arkansas. “The Senator” was a go-to player for us media types in the locker room — unafraid to face the music through tough losses — and very popular throughout the community.
We relive his rise and playing days. His pick-six on Monday Night Football in ‘07 still resonates. And the ‘11 crew was fun. (We’ve previously shot the bull with Ryan Fitzpatrick, icymi.)
Wilson played with the Bills from 2004- ‘12 before finishing up with the Tennessee Titans.
In Nashville, he played with Chris Johnson. We get his thoughts on the running back’s crushing ALS diagnosis.
And of course, we drive the conversation forward to these 2026 Bills.
Wilson played with current defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard. How can this Buffalo defense right the ship? Is Leonhard capable? Sharp insight from a man who knows ball. He sees a glimmer of optimism in rookie cornerback Davison Igbinosun.
