As a Bears fan, why in the world would I keep listening to this? Just a complete hatchet job. I guess we have no hope, everything stinks, there’s no path forward other than sheer dumb luck. Screw this.

Look, you can either ask for honest non-bot non-spam engagement or you can tell anyone who doesn’t like every piece of content you make to screw off. My issue is more with Bob’s tremendous condescension than a re hash of a history I’ve lived and breathed for 30 years.
My one big complaint here is Bob mentioning cap problems.
They currently are projected to have 80M+ (based on OTCs estimated cap ceiling). Poles has underspent in free agency and has dolled out a few big extensions, most of which with easy outs (including Edmunds next year).
I’d also argue the lack luster production from their receivers and OL is a product of coaching (OL due to poor protection plan leads to free rushers too often - most bears fans won’t agree with me here).
On defense it’s a lack of depth and they need to find a blue chip difference maker on the DL.
But Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon are both blue chip talents (versatile big nickels are important in modern defenses).
I agree that the decision makers need to get it together, they can’t hire a Marc Trestman when Bruce Arians wanted to work with Cutler and his no risk it not biscuit offense would have been a great match.
But the cap point was way off base which will immediately turn off bears fans since they know how little we’ve spent and it’s a major pain point between fans and Ryan Poles.
