I listened to this podcast on a walk. I heard two old friends swapping theories of why things happened the way they did. It was a good listen. Atlanta might have hit with a shovel when they heard, saw or read how Cousins reacted to taking a QB with the most 8th overall pick. Cousins is terribly insecure—not a crime in itself—and Minnesota made sure Cousins would never, ever be threatened by any other quarterback on the roster. Long term, Penix at 8 may prove to be wise. Short term, it’s gasoline searching for a match.
