Podcast: Should Bryce Young go No. 1?
Nobody in sports media has watched the Alabama quarterback more than Mike Rodak. The AL.com beat writer dissects the quarterback's game on the podcast.
Many people have many opinions on this year’s quarterback class. As we on-ramp into NFL Draft coverage at Go Long, I thought it’d be a good idea to check in with the one reporter who’s seen more Bryce Young than anybody: AL.com’s Mike Rodak.
The Western New Yorkers here no doubt remember the name. Rodak covered the Buffalo Bills for six years at ESPN.com before taking on ‘Bama.
His insight on Young is exceptional. Rodak is able to compare Young to the other Crimson Tide quarterbacks we’ve now seen in the NFL: Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts and Mac Jones.
Who will Carolina choose at No. 1? Anthony Richardson’s skillset is tantalizing but passing on Young will be difficult.
Be sure to give Rodak a follow @mikerodak on Twitter for all of his coverage.
You can access the podcast everywhere you get your pods with all links, all embeds below. ICYMI, here’s the Rob Johnson Happy Hour. And remember — when you upgrade to a paid subscription — you’ll get Bob McGinn’s entire draft series. It begins next week.
Thanks, everyone.
Totally agree on background noise, gang. We apologize for that. Will need to record these during the day on-site instead of the night of Dyngus Day in Buffalo.
Always enjoy the podcasts, but this was an extremely tough listen with all the background noise.
