Podcast: Let's talk about the New York Giants
On this week's episode, we dive into the two-part series at Go Long. The Giants are in a bad place. Co-host Jim Monos also gives listeners a feel for what it's like in those pre-draft meetings.
Good morning, everyone!
Forty-eight hours away from Christmas morning, I hope everyone has time to rev up a little Christmas Vacation with your families. This is the absolute best time of the year.
First off, a hearty welcome to all of our new subscribers at Go Long. Beyond thrilled to have you all onboard. Wednesday marked our most successful day ever at this newsletter. I sincerely cannot thank you all enough for joining our community. We’re always striving to cover pro football through a longform lens and, this week, Go Long took a hard look at the New York Giants in “The Autopsy.”
ICYMI:
Be on the lookout for Part III whenever the Giants chart their plan for the future, post-Dave Gettleman.
On the Go Long Podcast, I figured we’d carve out a full episode to get into this all, too.
For those new to the program, my co-host Jim Monos has worked in NFL front offices for most of two decades with the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints as a scout and the Buffalo Bills as director of personnel. His perspective and willingness to share stories from behind the scenes is unmatched — I think you’ll all love his take on the Giants and what it’s like in those pre-draft meetings.
If anyone can relate, it’s Jim.
As always, links to our podcast are below — you can find us on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, wherever you pod.
Also, a major congratulations is in order. Jim will be taking his talents to the XFL for the league’s relaunch in 2023 as the senior director of football operations. The pod will march on and we’ll absolutely work some XFL talk into the show down the line.
Thank you again, everyone, for making Go Long part of your life. I’ll continue to search for a story you have not read before that goes beyond the Zoom presser — always.
