The NFL Draft is two weeks away. Bob McGinn’s 40th annual draft series is one week away — and exclusive to Go Long subscribers.
So, let’s look back before we look forward.
McGinn’s nine-part series from last season is linked below to give everyone a sense of what’s coming. It’s always informative, exhaustive, illuminating… and makes some news.
The Hall of Fame writer has once again been chatting nonstop with scouts from around the NFL to bring readers his unvarnished draft coverage. Good, bad, ugly — you’ll get it all. Scouts McGinn has cultivated relationships with for years will give readers a rare peek behind that NFL curtain. This marks the third consecutive year he’ll bring the series to our pages.
Paid subscribers can read his 2024 series in full, beginning next week:
Here’s last year’s series…
As a Packers fan, a few things that stood out to me:
- Musgrave had a Wonderlic of 30; Kraft a 27
- Scouts loved Kraft. Almost universally. Shocking to see actually.
- Clifford checked all of Gute's boxes (size, speed, smarts) for a QB
- Wooden is another guy who is a Gute RAS special
- Van Ness is the prototypical high-ceiling prospect he loves taking in the first
It occurs to me that this retread article is really nothing other than a filler. Go Long had five - FIVE - articles on the Bills and Diggs and now this. It’s a bit of a letdown.
