Which head coach do you think will be the first to get fired out of the NFC East: Nick Sirianni or Mike McCarthy? What do you think will be the breaking point for each franchise to part ways with these coaches? It seemed like after the game Jerry Jones was not considering firing McCarthy at any point during the season. And who do you see as potential replacements for each of these coaches?
Much has been made about GB's success at containing the mobile quarterbacks this season. But this success seems to come at the cost of an outside pass rush. Since mobile quarterbacks are almost becoming the norm, how will defenses adjust long term to get containment and pressure simultaneously?
What will it take for the Bengals to solve their issues on the defensive side of the ball? Do you see them clawing their way back into the playoff mix?
Have NFL teams become over reliant on analytics? I'm not opposed to using information to make decisions when it comes to game planning. It feels like some organizations base every decision based on a spreadsheet algorithm or some made up metric that completely dismisses the human element. Analytics cannot measure a man's character or heart. I look at what the Detroit Lions have built - Dan Campbell & Brad Holmes know what kind of players they need for their culture. As a beaten down Panthers fan, Dan Morgan has talked extensively about getting "dawgs" and people that love football into the building. It remains to be seen if he can accomplish that. But I guess my question is this, do these teams that only rely on analytics truly believe they can build a champion without considering the human element?
Long suffering Jags fan here. One of the Washington Post NFL reporters thinks Baalke will be let go next year. Is that too much to hope for? Shad Khan clearly has zero idea what a successful front office should comprise, and it seems to me that unless he can figure out even that much this team will never go anywhere. And that doesn't even begin to address the coaches and play calling. Last Sunday's game looked like a hockey game with the constant substitutions. Is any of this realistically fixable if Khan won't budge?
