What is the No. 1 trait you want in your franchise quarterback?

The Minnesota Vikings may be flirting with the notion of signing Aaron Rodgers. I suppose all organizations must examine all options at the most important position in sports. At heart? They know it’s J.J. McCarthy Time. For better. For worse. GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O’Connell selected the Michigan quarterback 10th overall in last spring’s draft for a reason.
No longer do they want to rationalize good-to-very good in the absence of great.
Inside McCarthy, they see that elusive “it” factor. A confidence.
That’s Step No. 1 for every franchise. Before examining what’s even possible — via draft, via free agency, via trades — know exactly what you want in a quarterback.
Supply isn’t meeting demand. Teams such as the Steelers, Giants, Browns and Titans have hard decisions to make. But every regime should begin its tenure with a blunt, all-hands meeting in which everyone knows exactly what they’re looking for in a starting quarterback. Sniper-accuracy? Athleticism? Swagger? Mental toughness? Establish a priority list and then move mountains and get your guy. Trades. Cap crunching. Whatever it takes.
The Indianapolis Colts took a massive swing with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 draft. Their hope was that Anthony Richardson could ascend like Josh Allen. As examined this week, that’s been a struggle. Physically, there are similarities but the two are obviously wired very differently.
So, let’s take the conversation to the chat for a philosophical discussion.

Though when watching Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts, part of me wants to say two stud WRs who you've either played with for years or you know you can throw the ball up to and they'll come down with it. :)
Can’t ever be just 1 thing, but if I had to pick I’d say processing
