Jordan Love is in the MVP conversation. Where specifically has his game taken a jump in Year 3 as the starter? What drives him? We chat again with the coach who knows him best.
I've seen this narrative floating around, most notably from Stephen A Smith and maybe there is even some truth to it but it's just so pointless. You can't do anything with the argument until the playoffs. So even if Love threw 7 touchdowns a game for the next 3 weeks, the same talking point just hangs out in the back ground.
I think if that is your take, its fine and I won't argue it, but people with this narrative should just put it in their pocket and stay out of the QB conversation until January when their argument can be updated one way or another.
Great stuff. Great lead too, didn't even have to reference Toyotathon (though his stat differential during-vs.-not Toyotathon is becoming almost unbelievable, hilarious if it wasn't actually/coincidentally true)
He still has occasional plays that make you say 'what his he DOING?' but overall Love is having an outstanding season. Third year as a starter, you have to like the track he's on. And he's risen to the occasion to the responsibility of being the Packers QB, and generally seems to do it with class and humility.
Thanks for this story Tyler. It is a great read.
You got it, Bob. Thank you all!
MVP until he makes the worst decision at the worst possible time and commits multiple turnovers in playoff games. That’s been his history.
I was going to work some Rocket Rog into this conversation! Next time. Maybe we get Steve on a Happy Hour and we flesh this out.

Soon as saw the title knew we could count on Rog for a comment on this one!

“After slicing up a division rival, Love is currently third in the MVP odds behind Matthew Stafford and Tom Brady.”
Wait… what? 😉
Admittedly a ham-fisted reference. You guys know I love me some Drake Maye!
Tremendous as usual. Great insight. Thank you for this site. True journalism.
Fantastic interview Tyler. Thank you so much!
