THIS is why we subscribe Ty. Good stuff.

For Black Monday you missed Schefter's tweet: "In an awkward turn of events, Aaron Rodgers asked the Packers front office for permission to interview OC Nathaniel Hackett for the Bears head coaching vacancy." :)

Nice article, Ty, but I will not accept your David Bakhtiari slander - the *real* top LT in the league, not Trent Williams. :)

Brandon Staley taking a lot of unwarranted heat. I like that guy. Played the same way all year. Much respect.

Who can argue that two days of competitive NFL football in January isn't a perfect weekend? Especially when you live in Wisconsin and your team is just waiting to see who they can beat next.

Brandon Staley deserves a thank you. Watching a team play for a tie in the final seconds when a chance to win was in full grasp would've been nauseating. (Especially after an official snoozed on an obvious face mask penalty, looking as if he like too many on Twitter was also rooting for a tie.) Herm Edwards had it right, play to win. Now, his decision to go for it on 4th and 1 from his own 16-that was a Chris Webber, and some might say the real reason they couldn't win in regulation.

A great week, and a salute to the Jaguars and Lions. Could've taken the easy way out and tanked; instead they handled it like true professionals. Some great wild card matchups, and indeed, if I'm a Rams fan I have little faith right now.

I don't remember a year with more parity. The Jaguars, Seahawks, Dolphins and Lions* pulling upsets in week 17 show how close the league is top to bottom. And at the top, the Packers are sort of the best team by default. The playoffs are gonna be bananas.

I'm not the kind of guy who watches 18 hours of football in a weekend, but I'm probably going to have all these games on in the background at a minimum. The Niners/Cowboys and Bills/Patriots are the best games, for sure.

It's going to be an exciting weekend of football - and a lot of good football.

Even though I'm an NFC fan, the Bills/Pats game has to be one of the most interesting ones this weekend. That is going to be must-watch football.

It's such a week to week league. Of the remaining NFC teams, I think the Niners might be a little bit scarier to the Packers versus the Bucs. Both of these franchises have recent history with the Packers so ... both will be a test either way.

Tyler, if your predictions hold true, the Green Bay Packers are doomed. There is absolutely no way they can match the intensity and toughness of the Niners. My eyes tell me the Packers haven't brought those intangibles to a game since Holmgren was the coach.
