What a great article.

Last week I wrote about the inevitable dominance of Mahomes playoffs and how compared to others, he’s just different. He moves different. He plays different. It’s as if under the lights he just sees the game better. Allen is great, Lamar is great, Burrow is great, but Mahomes-- he’s just utterly legendary.

You got a sub from this one!

Not sure how you pulled off a Bill Wennington reference on this article, but you did!

Had to google, and the best I had was 18 pts. and 4 dimes vs. Spurs.

His wife looks a bit like Cheri Oteri.

Cheers!

Was long, long overdue for a mid-90s NBA pull. Actually was going to go with a deeper cut in Uwe Blab but I'm not sure Uwe would've managed 30 in today's game. Probably not 15.

The dynastic formula developed by Belichick and Brady is being duplicated in their own unique style by Reid and Mahomes. Build your roster for the playoffs, not the regular season. Always have 2-3 elite clutch performers (always a tight end) and build the game plan around them, not spread out evenly across the whole team. Recruit talent who are tough, physical and ultra competitive. Embrace change aggressively each year, don't just run it back as champs.

Epic Article, Watching Mahomes in the Playoffs, being a force of nature. Key, is the way he makes all the players around him put on their A game in order to keep up with his exceptional performances. Like with Jordan, nobody on that team wants to let the best player on the planet down!

Great point, Brian. A talent like this naturally raises the level of others.

I'll have something longer on Mahomes this coming week, too. Chatted with a bunch of folks who know him best.
