Substack Notes has arrived
As our community grows, let your voice be heard. Here's another way for Go Long readers to connect.
Hands down, the most joy I have building up Go Long is pouring a cup of coffee on Saturday morning, heading up to the home office and diving into the work email.
These last two weeks, I heard from a subscriber in Germany. And the UK. And Switzerland.
Then, Atlanta and New Jersey.
Colorado… the Dakotas… both ends of Canada. Of course, Buffalo, NY and the state of Wisconsin are always well-represented.
And to one of our most loyal readers out there in New Zealand? I still need to email you back. It’s beyond exciting to see there are so many people out there who enjoy reading and learning more NFL — thank you for your support. All are always welcomed to say hello at golongtd@gmail.com. Honestly, this concept is what has made Substack such a perfect home for GoLongTD.com, too — the powers that be value community.
Substack continues to find new ways for readers across the globe to connect.
Midway through last season, our site’s platform introduced a chat feature where we hang out each NFL Sunday. Now, it enters the the social-media game. If you’d like to interact with fellow Go Long readers and subscribers from across the Substack network, bang it right here:
(Also: Here is a FAQ to answer any questions you may have.)
In many ways, Notes is similar to Twitter. I’ll still be sharing NFL thoughts over @TyDunne. We’ve got a healthy audience over at the bird app. Yet in very important ways, Notes is not. There’s no character limit (ideal for a company titled, “Go Long,” eh?) and I think you’ll find this space much less vile and patronizing than Twitter can become. You’ll be able to meet and interact with fellow readers from around the world, in addition to learning about other Substack newsletters. There are a ton of independent writers doing fantastic work.
More information on how to join the party is below. Notes is off and running.
Thanks, everyone!
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Go Long, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Go Long can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
Again, if you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
