The NFL’s model franchise resides in… Cincinnati? Believe that. Nobody in their right mind outside of Who Dey nation could’ve imagined speaking about the Cincinnati Bengals in such grandiose terms just a few years ago.

Joe Burrow has changed the calculus. The team’s star quarterback has had every answer for defenses in 2022.

Yet, the reason these Bengals are the envy of other franchises runs deeper. Where skeptics see a dangerously understaffed front office, the Bengals reap the rewards of a streamlined, no-BS operation. There’s no overthinking, no wasted Zoom meetings and, yes, drafting Ja’Marr Chase in the face of All-22 Warriors proved to be a stroke of genius.
