Podcast: Should Monos bring Antonio Brown to the XFL?
Our resident podcast co-host, Jim Monos, recently joined the XFL. Should his league pursue the, uh, eccentric wide receiver?
The Antonio Brown story only gets weirder… and weirder… and weirder by the hour.
Neither the wide receiver or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look particularly good right now and Brown has decided to burn all of the bridges he can.
Which begs the question: Should Go Long Podcast co-host, Jim Monos, bring AB to the XFL in 2023? As you may or may not know, Monos was recently hired as the new league’s director of football operations. So, we explore this possibility. Brown said on Friday that USFL coach Todd Haley reached out to him. Well, hey, maybe he should consider the XFL, too.
Don’t worry, folks. We get into more than just Brown on the show, too.
The XFL has an amazing opportunity to reel in fans with a real look at pro football. Monos opens up on how the league can think outside the box.
The NFL playoffs are closing in fast, too. Can a playmaking quarterback string together four straight wins in a row or does this remain a pocket passer’s league? We discuss. Josh Allen is as unique as it gets at the position but, now, it’s go time. (Maybe the Bills shouldn’t bury Isaiah McKenzie on the bench, either.)
Also, Monos looks back at the 2017 draft in Buffalo once more and shares a hilarious story with co-owner Kim Pegula from the team cafeteria after the team drafted Nathan Peterman.
