Podcast: Deshaun Watson's case (somehow) gets uglier

This isn’t going to end well. We discuss.

Once he’s on a field, throwing touchdowns, perhaps the local sentiment shifts. That usually does the trick for a fan base it seems. (Which is wild, of course.)

But right now? Even the Cleveland Browns fans are not pleased.

I found this poll of 24,000 conducted by one rabid Browns fan fascinating…

For now, the Browns are staying the course.

Hey, we were banging the Baker Mayfield drum in this space back in March. The plan could’ve been quite straightforward for these Browns: See if Mayfield is the long-term answer on his fifth-year option and proceed accordingly.

Instead, here we are.

The case of Deshaun Watson only gets worse… and worse… to the point now where you have to wonder if he’ll play a down in Cleveland. The New York Times’ damning account this past week doesn’t make anyone look good — Watson, the Texans, the Browns and, most of all, the NFL. Who knows? We may even see an investigation into the investigation when this is said and done. If you have a few moments, carve out time to read their story.
