Today, NFL teams value the "S2" test. Multiple sources tell Bob McGinn that Young scored 98%, while C.J. Stroud scored 18%. What does this all mean? The draft series continues...
Supposed to be private, protected information. Not supposed to get out. Bob's sources might be violating HIPPA..Great reporting but he's not the only one who has it, just the only one using it.
Seems like this article is everywhere. Just Google "CJ Stroud S2 McGinn". What with the "Packers are done with Rodgers" story, that's 2 scoops in a couple of months. Look like you've found yourself a good "up and comer" to work with there, Tyler. ;)
Ha, I came back to this site just to ask the same, then saw there were already two inquires. Bob won't look at comments, but Tyler will. You absolutely need to track this down from him. Love's S2. Must have.
The ideal spot for Richardson, in my opinion, is Detroit. Richardson can sit and learn the NFL game while Goff plays out his contract. Something tells me he won't be available at 6, though.
Tests measure your ability to take that specific test. Tests have nothing to do with real life problem solving.
Companies test candidates with all kinds of tests before they hire them. There is no one measure that ca definitively tell you how someone will perform in a role other than how they perform in that specific role.
If you could develop a test that accurately predicts performance, you would be a billionaire. It’s an unsolvable problem because human beings are not predictable.
Game film is a far superior evaluation tool than the S2 test.
Never heard of the S2 test that indicates processing skills for athletes prior to this reading. Learning the potential number one pick scored a 98 and the second pick an 18 is wild stuff. If a GM takes a guy with an 18 at pick 2, you gotta wonder. Maybe there is something to the rumor that the Texans won't be taking a QB at the second pick.
Please ask Bob McGinn, "Who was it that tried to get CJ Stroud to slide down the draft board?"
My strong suspicion is that it was the Texans trying to make sure that the Panther's owner would force his front office committed franchise "Hari Kari".
But the only person that actually knows for sure who was behind the "CJ Stroud failed the S2" ploy is Bob McGuinn.
So I would love to hear his respond to that exact question.
I think Young looks lost out there and is improvising more than others. The guy doesn't hit tight windows through his read progression. He has great accuracy mid and short and a hair trigger on recognizing someone coming wide open, but he's not leading almost covered receivers by a hairs breadth often. He needs someone wide open or his first read. He's often extending plays and rolling out of clean pockets because he's lost. He makes up for it by having a hair trigger and being accurate. He also has a poor deep ball for a first rounder. He isn't a Lamar or Murray athlete. He'll get caught more next level and he doesn't have the deep ball to really kill defenses. This isn't Mahomes where he can cool off for 2 quarters and then throw 3 50 yd passes to win it. He has to be efficient all game sll season. Good luck with that. He's a smaller Johnny Manziel.
Levis folds like a bi### under pressure, undraftable.
Anthony Richardson is just another in a long line of elite athletes, any position, that we know can't play, that will prove he can't play. "Cam Newton" - you mean 180 college quarterback rating national champion Cam Newton? Give me a break.
Hookers highlights are just Jalin Hyatt highlights, and there Jalins lucky he's so wide open or Hookers inaccurate passes would be defendable. He's what I call a Jake Locker QB. Yes he has NFL arm strength and can hit it occasionally, but outside the numbers the ball is losing be accuracy
Stroud - I like but I put a lot more weight in the cognitive testing than other people. The better athlete you are the dumber you can be (Lamar). Stroud doesn't have an incredible ceiling and the testing is a major red flag for the efficiency required of a lower ceiling QB. Pickett is the same.
“Buttermilk.” That could be Anthony Richardson’s nickname. Did you ever notice that people either love buttermilk or they don’t? There are not many in-between.
You have to think that the Packers bring in a veteran guy for a backup, but with the success of Purdy, I wonder if some teams including the Packers are more likely to take 7th round flier on a guy. Maybe a Jarren Hall? Matt Flynn was a 7th round guy the year that Rodgers became a starter
Why isn’t anyone else writing about this? Bob is still running circles around all the other draft writers.

There are 4 stages to a McGinn scoop
1. Bob says something that comes way out of left field
2. Everybody crushes Bob for making up stuff up for clicks
3. Others start confirming what Bob said
4. Common knowledge
On the Rodgers story we are at stage 4. On the Stroud story we are at stage 2
Relax Carl. Just a bit of sarcasm.
Tyler or Bob, (not sure if you guys respond) but do you know Jordan Love's S2 score? When I googled it all that comes up his Wonderlic. Which was 27.
I know Love is not part of this year's draft, but we really need to know this

Its been around 7 years but I feel like this is first year people are talking about it. PFF is all over it.
"...the little sumbitch has the right nervous system, I’ll give him that..."
The nuggets of gold that just on their own make these worth the subscription price. Hilarious.
Will be interesting to see who this year's 'big bag of dirt' is on the D-Line.

Plus, football success is so dependent on so many variables besides the QB's ability.

Bad class

If he is still around on Day Three, the Packers should draft Stetson Bennett.
The Packers should take the Penn State kid on the last day.
I hate to say it, but I'd love to see Bennett in Green Bay.

Bob is on a roll.
