Outstanding story although I confess it feels like it puts words to thoughts I have had about the Cowboys since living in Dallas in the late nineties. Even at that time the mantra was "if the owner simply fired the GM" but everyone knew that was not going to happen. In some ways Jerry loves the Cowboys too much.
I did a trip to the States in September and had to make 3 choices of matches to watch. I discounted the Cowboys since I’d heard how fans there are allegedly milked. This excellent piece suggests I chose wisely. By the way, Vikings, 49ers and Rams hosted brilliantly.
Man, this franchise is f'ed. I knew it when Jerrah pushed Parcells out the door. Their fanbase needs to stop making Jerrah rich, that's the only way things will change. But they won't so they'll continue to be screwed. And things won't be any better with Stephen either.
Quite the picture you've painted, Tyler. On behalf of many other fan bases, let me say, "Whew!"
the dysfunction is unreal

And poor Mark Andrews, catching shrapnel!!
Wow. What a great story. Thanks!

Brilliant writing as always.

Oh this is yet another fascinating look behind the curtain of the Cowboys. Thanks Tyler!
