November Mailbag, Part II: Daniel Jones Mania, the Packers' solution on offense, new Super Bowl pick, special teams revival

What's holding back the Packers offense? There's one MAJOR clue in one of the greatest offenses in NFL history. That, and more, in Part II of our mailbag.

Part I of the November Mailbag went live earlier this week.

Let’s get to the rest of your questions. Some real brain-busters, I must say.

We get into Daniel Jones and the Colts, what’s holding Jordan Love back in 2025, our new Super Bowl pick, the special teams revolution and 2-point decisions.

Miss this week’s Friday Feature. I sat down with Emeka Egbuka in Tampa, Fla.

See you later today inside the Gameday Chat for Bills-Bucs and a full slate of intriguing games.

Ty,

First time long time! I’m fascinated by the Colts’ deal with the Jets from a roster building perspective. The success of QB reclamation projects has brought the mid-tier QB contract back from the dead, and it’s lauded as the new way to massage the cap and prop up a team around a non-elite QB. But Danny Dimes hasn’t yet been “reclaimed.” He’s in the process of securing his next bag on a supremely cheap one year deal. Chris Ballard has now removed any path to replacing him by dealing consecutive first round picks. Doesn’t this invite DJ to stick them up at gunpoint in March? I feel like Indy took the QB sweet spot and turned it into a hostage situation by making this deal before their mid-tier QB was actually locked into mid-tier money, and have consigned themselves to the unspeakable horrors that have befallen the Jags, Cards, Dolphins and others (would love Monos’ take on this on the pod that I am psyched to see back as well)

Dan Murphy

Holy smokes. I should expect nothing less from a hustling father like yourself, Dan.

Right about now, Chris Ballard and the Indianapolis Colts front office must all feel like Andy Dufresne in the rain right now.
