Bob McGinn back in the off-season : “they think this guy is Rodgers 2.0.” And now we see why.

That was a triumphant “told y’all” if I’ve ever seen one. May next year’s “Summer of Love” workouts be even more fruitful!

Tyler with a spike of the football that would make Ickey Woods proud!

No, it's 100% deserved and on point. Love has been absolutely outstanding of late. A number of those throws yesterday were every bit as good as his predecessors. Dallas's defense was not great, but he also was hitting some windows that were incredibly small. He made their defense look bad because of how good he was.

And Gutekunst should be hailed as a genius for his move of drafting Love. First it was because it ticked off Rodgers and lit a fire in him to play better and return to an MVP level, and now it's because he hit on yet another QB for Green Bay. The Packers' method of draft-and-develop with quarterbacks is one more need to consider. But they probably won't. Either way, Gutekunst doesn't really have much to apologize for anymore. The defense has even been outstanding for three straight games. The future is unbelievably bright.

Both the Packers and Love’s development are way ahead of schedule. Although maybe Gute and some others didn’t believe it, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year. Remember the Packers went 6-10 during Rodgers’ first year as a starter. Gute took a lot of shit from everyone for this bold commitment (as did Thompson when he moved on from Favre) but it looks like the way to build sustaining success in Green Bay is alive and well, and entering its third decade. Regardless of what happens in SF (we’re still playing with house money IMO), this season is already a success.

You know, I'm not trying to pretend I'm any kind of NFL scout or anything, but after the Pack drafted Love I went and youtubed his highlights. I was immediately hit with, "hey, this guy throws like Rodgers". Off platform, on the run, his feet not set, all arm. And the ball kind of just rockets out from his wrist. So Aaron-like.

Of course, that meant he had terrible mechanics, so I thought it was a big risk. Aaron Rodgers pretty much always had (and still has) awful mechanics, but had the explosive arm talent and God-like accuracy to make up for it. But Rodgers is a once-in-a-generation player.

I guess Jordan Love may be the next generation.

the gm had a A+ draft until he got to kicker and then not to at the least bring in a vet for competition...still shows a complete lack of talent for special teams-- and we were still having bad snaps by the center on fgs

No one could have predicted that the last four NFC quarterbacks standing would be Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy and Jerad Goff. The last two, maybe with the teams they play on, but Mayfield and Love being in the group was unthinkable. We could have an NFC championship game in Tampa Bay between the Bucs and Green Bay. WTF! Tampa Bay is healthy, and their defensive line is sticky and very good when their starters are healthy. Detroit is going to have their hands full, maybe San Fran too. What a fun time of year it is.

Lighten up, Tyler. Dallas looked like Miami did the day before: disinterested in playing. Save your soupy, man love for Love when the 49ers game ends. A Different kind of predator waits in San Francisco.
