His vision is clear. He knows exactly what he wants this roster to look like and, no, he's not shy. As another title expedition begins, the Bills boss sits down with Go Long to get into everything.
Great story Ty. Allowed Beane to tell his side. You got to the heart of the questions Bills fans had about the defense. Great that Go Long is getting the well deserved access at One Bills Drive.
This was so good, got fired up just reading it. Great questions, great answers, and appreciate his honesty and ability to communicate just why he does what he does. Maybe it's just his personality, but much like how Bob McGinn has talked about Ron Wolf, he seems to get it. It's a good thing to be open with fans and stakeholders in these franchises, even if they don't like every answer. And think its a sign of respect for Go Long and Tyler's work that he set aside so much time for this, which is awesome.
One thing too is that, no matter who is drafted, youth is still a thing. The Bills even now have quite a bit of youth at the receiver spots. Would argue it's much more important getting the Colemans and Kincaids stepping up than it was drafting more WRs. But as Beane has noted, the offensive output wasn't a problem last year. Now, the execution on short yardage against the Chiefs...
This was a wonderful read over my morning coffee Tyler, so glad Go Long has this access.
A tip of the cap to Buffalo Brave, who's illustration of the new stadium constructed behind Brandon ties in wonderfully with the topic of roster build!
Amazing read, Ty!
Thank you my good man! We are wayyyy overdue for a Substack Live!
Just say the word, and I’m there, my friend!! You’re an inspiration 👊🏼
