Happy Hour Replay: Frank Winters on Favre's pranks, Rodgers' future & the Super Bowl that got away

The man in the middle of the Green Bay Packers’ 90s renaissance spent an hour with Go Long subscribers on this past Friday night’s Happy Hour and got into just about everything.

If you missed it, you can catch up below.

Winters discussed…

  • The best pranks pulled by Brett Favre, one of his best friends on the Packers. They keep in touch to this day, too.

  • Why he is very, very happy there weren’t cell phones around those days.

  • His unlikely rise coinciding with the Packers’ unlikely rise. Winters was drafted in a round that doesn’t exist today.

  • His take on the Aaron Rodgers situation. Why he believes the QB should have some say at 1265 Lombardi Ave.

  • His stump for LeRoy Butler and Mike Holmgren. Both should be in the Hall, he says.

  • The one loss that stayed with Winters for a while, Super Bowl XXXII vs. Denver. He knows the Packers had no business losing that game.

Thank you, everyone.

Great to hear from Frank Winters, and glad he seems to be doing fine.

A little surprised he doesn't have a sharper analysis of current events; but great to hear his perspective.

My wife still remembers how catatonic I was after that Denver loss.
