One of the nation's best football writers ever brings his talents to Go Long.
What a coup! Great work!
cant wait for this!
I read "Chuck Noll: His Life's Work" and really enjoyed it. Will definitely read "America's Game" now.
This is fantastic. His book about the history of Sports Illustrated is one of my very favorites, and his NFL history of course superb too. Looking forward to this.
"MacCambridge spent the entire summer figuring out why no team in NFL history has completed a three-peat. " - ??????
Canton Bulldogs 1921 ,1922,1923.
Green Bay Packers 1929,1930,1931
Green Bay Packers 1965,1966,1967
*Super Bowl Era*
Trust me, Bart Starr is very proud of his own three-peat if you include '65. We chatted all about it at the MJS: https://archive.jsonline.com/sports/packers/bart-starrs-legacy-will-last-forever-b99107830z1-225665201.html
You'll love this, Jim. A great look back at those Packers.
Thanks, Tyler. I'll check out the link.
I'm blessed to have been a Packer fan since 1961.
