the problem comes from ownership, especially the Mara side. Will they continue to overrule football professionals, will they continue to put family and school chums without football qualifications in key positions, and will they continue to stink. I have been a homer since 1958, thinking every coach, every manager, every QB was going to get us somewhere. The facts are that the Maras were quite willing to go from middle class to upper middle class to millionaires to billionaires while providing terrible football. Interference on the one hand and lack of accountability and responsibility from ownership is the hallmark of the Maras in the past 11 years and in the long drought of 64-81.

Fans and observers should not drop their guard or trust the words. We've heard it all from Judge and Shurmur and MacaDont and the last years of Coughlin telling us we could win with Eli.

Words are nice, winning a football game now and then is supposed to be what a team is about!
