Would be a welcome season outcome as a lions fan.

Bills vs. Lions is the Super Bowl that America wants and needs.

Not too rudely recalling the Curse of Bobby Layne

Puzzled how Monos has Green Bay making it to the Super Bowl (Noooooo!) and then saying LaFleur is one of the coaches on thin ice. Contradictory, no?

Tyler Dunne's avatar

I think he approached "thin ice" as coaches who are entering the season feelin' it a bit.

(Apparently he sees LaFleur rallying!)

Will be sure to GRILL him on the pod today.

and while you're grilling him, make sure you remind him he was just extended. I see a lot of this and people seem to not understand how 1265 Lombardi operates financially.

Tyler Dunne's avatar

The terms of those extensions seem to be quadruple padlocked…

Richard J. Donovan's avatar

Even Spoon admits he doesn’t know.

Conor Daly's avatar

Do you think it was anything but a multi-year extension?

Matt LaFleur is standing on the Greenland ice shelf given that his new team president said that he was "a little bit shocked" to be asked about his HC's job status last January and then extended his contract. I have no response to that other than to quote Biff from Back to the Future: "Hello, hello, anybody home??". Did he not watch the WC game? :)

I came here to the same the EXACT same thing

Really enjoy this format, Tyler. Looking forward to an interesting season.

No Buffalo Super Bowl, no Brady as Coach of the Year, and the Ravens outperforming most? Fascinating!!

I don’t really understand the Ravens love. Lamar is objectively bad in big games. It’s a thing.

Tyler: Minnesota in the divisional round? Of course they’d be the most surprising.

Bob: You would break my heart.

Jim: So, so very close.

Go Pack Go (superfluously)!

Bold. Unlikely. but bold.

Green Bay fan here, BUT it's not making the playoffs without Jacobs and Parsons for a partial or majority of the season.....a suspect, less-than-A-1 offensive line....and a mediocre defensive line and cornerback combination.

Richard J. Donovan's avatar

Maturation of the offensive line, aside from ZBB, will mean much more than the rest of these factors. Parsons will come back like gangbusters (just in time for us not to see him in our home Bears game). But I guess that means we somewhat agree.

McGinn having Gibbs as the MVP allows me to discredit his take entirely. C'mon, what are we doing here?

James Schwartz's avatar

A lot of info the digest there. There’s always a surprise team though and I think you guys played it pretty comfortable. Mebbe that’s how it plays out but I doubt it. There will be an injury that ruins a team.

Why didn’t you put Buffalo at the bottom. We love being the underdogs!
